Retorno / Return

Retorno

Mirás hacia el vacío,
como si temblara allá
algo que nos pertenece.

Return

You look towards the void,
as if something that
belong to us is shaking there.

25.4.13

Andanza / Deed

Andanza

Todos dirán que te has ido,
yo diré que no quisiste irte,
que estabas listo
para el estallido del aire.

Deed

Everybody will say you left,
I will say you didn't want to leave,
that you were ready
for the air burst.

Pan de campo / Countryside bread

Pan de campo

No me pidas que ponga
el hígado en la plancha.
Cenaremos vaca,
te despellejaremos.

Tajos que salen hacia allá,
arroz salteado en tus costillas,
pan de madre,
tetas destiladas.

No tomaremos nada,
me sacia el aceite a cien grados,
haciéndome burbujas por acá.

Countryside bread

Do not ask me to put
the liver on the grill.
We will dine meat,
we will skin you.

Slices coming out over there,
sautéed rice on your ribs,
mother’s bread,
distilled tits.

We won’t drink anything,
the hundred-degree oil satiates me,
making bubbles on me over here.

Que cubre la lámpara / What covers the lamp

Qué cubre la lámpara

Tomar un cigarrillo,
imaginar que el humo se esparce
dibujando la forma de las cosas.
El pelo lacio,
brazos colgando del sillón:
la membrana gris
haciéndose paso entre los objetos
que estrangula esta oscuridad.

What covers the lamp

Take a cigarette,
imagine the smoke spreads
drawing the shape of things.
The straight hair,
arms hanging over the couch:
the grey membrane
making its way between the objects
strangled by this darkness.

16.4.13

Handgun

Or did I suddenly realized the most simple of solutions?
Imre Kertész

He left over a curved surface, without anchor,
without tacking his head back to look at what he was leaving.
And I aimed, and then I shot his figure
in a way that he burst,
breaking up at scraping some surface.

That’s all for today, I told to myself,
and I thought that there are bodies
that only can die if they dream the impact.

But from the end of the barrel, he is back,
rejuvenated, like a steel ghost,
for a new gunshot to throw him away
towards another scraping, against another invention,
loving over and over again his own disintegration.

Lo absoluto / The absolute

The absolute

What doesn’t hurt from the scorpion we found,
what doesn’t stuns us from war and the transparent cylinder
where the hurt roll around,
what shames us of Jesus
-and of his little girl arms, and of his reasoning-,
what dreamers don’t do when they’re riding,
what others do when they leave,
what nobody can reveal:
it’s somewhere in the sky.

En mis telas / On my fabrics

En mis telas

Iré a buscar a mi madre.

“Me he perdido de nuevo”,

On my fabrics

I will go to find my mother.
She will complain about the time being late,
that it´s always the same with me,
that I never visit her.

I will tell her I don’t know how to get around the roads,
that I get lost in any street,
sleeping like a spider.

“I got lost again”,
and that the world is collapsing
while we love each other,
even though we don’t see each other often.

She will tell me I’m lazy.
I will say I’m 32
and I have one year left
to be born, to die and to resurrect,
and that I’m dealing with everything little by little.

Zoo / Zoo

Zoo

Zoo

The spike that doesn’t let it fall,
Who embeds it on the stone’s fabric.

I think on how it curses its wings,
that could get ripped as a lock of hair.

In all that doesn’t fall, and it should
there is a roving eye that wanders

and it’s one of the millions the insect
disguised as an angel before heaven has.

11.4.13

No saben / They don't know

No saben

They don’t know

They arrived, mom said and we came down here. I’m tired of her telling me not to speak, not to breathe, not to move. Today she lost another tooth, and I made a wish, but not for the both of us, just for me. She cannot hit me because those things don’t let her move her hands, so I mock at her and I ask her that we go up, because the sand is too hot and I want to play and get sweep away by the sea.

8.4.13

Creación / Creation

Creación

"He moldeado la creación,
S.G.

Recordaba de la maestra de sexto
que cada árbol tiene su raíz,
su ligadura a la tierra,
de donde extrae sus nutrientes,
de donde se sostiene con vehemencia
para afrontar huracanes.
Qué me diría ella
de esta criatura mitad vegetal,
mitad roca, que parece vivir,
que parece ser fuerte pero flota,
rodeada de basura, de una escritura inentendible,
absolutamente corrupta, amorfa.
Tal vez podríamos empezar
a rezarle también a este fantasma.

Creation

“I’ve moulded the creation,
in the same way a wax piece is moulded
so it can be reused”
S.G.

I remembered of the sixth grade teacher
that every tree has its roots,
its tie to the earth,
from where it extracts its nutrients,
from where it vehemently remains standing
to face hurricanes.
What would she say of this creature, half vegetal,
half rock, that seems to live,
that seems to be strong but floating,
surrounded by garbage, by unreadable writings,
absolutely corrupted, amorphous.
Perhaps we could start
praying to this ghost too.

Ruido / Noise

Ruido

Te has llevado el olvido:
una valija enorme,
pero vacía.

Noise

You have taken away the oblivion:
a huge suitcase,
but empty.
