Una palabra

Vaya ingenuidad, la del pobre viejo
que escribe en el cartón de cigarrillos:

"esto que había eran cigarrillos".

Luego escribirá en el asiento:

que lo postra: "espero".

Hombre rico en tautologías,

saciado en sus redundancias.

A word

I do not think of solitude as a trip,
not even as a kinetic thing.
Hence, the fact that he is waiting for a subway train,
the fact that he is waiting for something to move him
makes me chuckle.
What ingenuousness of this poor old man
who pretends to write on that cigarette hard pack:

“there was cigarettes in here”.

Maybe, later he will write on the bench:
“I wait”.

Man rich in tautologies,
marvellously sure in his redundancies.
